Zheng Mengqi, born in September 1994, male, is a high-level talent in Anhui Province. He serves as a young editorial board member for SCI journals such as Water and Microorganisms, as well as for the Chinese Core Journals, Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology and Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering. He is also a committee member of the New Materials and Energy Applications Professional Committee of the China Industrial Cooperation Association. His primary research focuses on industrial wastewater treatment and resource recovery. He has published 23 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author (including 14 papers in top-tier Q1 journals), with a cumulative impact factor of 190. He has led multiple national and provincial-level research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Open Project of the State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment. He has received awards such as the "National Commercial Science and Technology Progress Award" and the "Qian Yi Environmental Award."
In July 2021, he joined the College of Civil Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, where he is engaged in teaching and research. His work focuses on novel and efficient treatment technologies for industrial wastewater and resource recovery.
