Zhang Gaofeng, associate professor and master's supervisor, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Software Engineering in School of Software, Hefei University of Technology. He obtained a PhD in Information and Communication Technology (PhD in ICT) from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and has postdoctoral research experience at the University of East London, UK. During his study abroad, he was awarded the Outstanding Self-financed Student Award by the China Scholarship Council. 


**Main research fields**: Service computing and edge intelligence, computer graphics and simulation, computational vision/artificial intelligence, software analysis and malware discovery, etc. He has presided over and participated in a number of projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, the Key R&D Program of Anhui Province, the Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province, and the EU FP7. He has published more than 40 papers in high-level domestic and international journals or conferences such as TSC, TC, TOSN, ICSOC, JCSS, FCGS, CCPE, and CCGRID, and has obtained 5 invention patents and nearly 10 software copyrights. 

He also serves as an executive member of TCSC of China Computer Federation(CCF), the Chairman of CCF YOCSEF (Young Computer Science and Technology Forum) Hefei 23-24, a member of CCF Hefei Branch of the China Computer Federation, a PC member of top international conferences in the fields of ICSOC, ICWS, and EDGE, and reviewers for high-level journals such as TSC, JCC, JSC, Neurocomputing, etc.

 ### Main Research Directions   

1. **Service Computing and Edge Intelligence**   Computing serves as the foundation of intelligence and information technology. In large-scale wide-area scenarios, systems are complex, huge in scale, and prone to frequent failures. How to better support the implementation of various computing tasks and AI functions? We focus on essential issues in such complex systems, deeply analyze and research the development direction of basic computing in the AI era, and form a unique research field of service computing and edge intelligence by taking computational geometry and simulation as the intersection. This direction is supported by projects such as the National Key R&D Program. Research results have been published in top international journals/conferences, including *IEEE Transactions on Services Computing*, *ACM Transactions on Sensor Network*, and *International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing*.

2**Computer Graphics and Simulation**   "Seeing is believing." Computer graphics provides fundamental technical support for movie special effects like *Nezha* and game animations such as *Black Myth: Wukong*, but more importantly, it establishes "spatial legislation" and basic rules for what the human eye perceives. Focusing on geometric modeling represented by Power diagrams and spatial automatic layout generation, we leverage deep learning to construct virtual scenes that integrate visual experience with physical principles, aiming to create an all-encompassing "world model". This direction is supported by projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, with research results published in top international journals and conferences such as *ACM Transactions on Graphics*, *Computers & Graphics*, and *Computer Graphics Forum*.

3. **Software Analysis and Malware Detection**   Do software programs, especially mobile apps, perform "inappropriate" actions behind users' backs? This has long been a challenge— as defense advances, offense evolves, with constant struggles between attack, concealment, and discovery. From a multi-dimensional perspective integrating time and space, we leverage deep learning to model long-term behavioral patterns of malware, enabling precise detection and efficient response. Our ultimate goal is to build a transparent "human-machine collaborative world". Supported by projects like the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation, research findings have been published in top international journals/conferences such as *ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks*.
