Research Field

    Focus on distributed power generation technology, new energy station modeling, electrification of power systems operation and control, ultra-high voltage direct current system modeling, distribution network state estimation, etc., to promote the efficiency of various energy utilization and assist in the integration of renewable energy and the safe and stable operation of ultra-high voltage direct current systems!

    (1) New energy station modeling: Based on measured data, the fault-penetration characteristics are identified. By analyzing the sensitivity of the parameters to be identified, typical measured operating conditions for fault penetration parameter identification are constructed to achieve precise modeling of fault penetration control for new energy generation units. The aim is to improve the transient output characteristics accuracy of the station model by developing equivalent modeling methods for new energy stations based on the differential conduction of protection control circuits.

    (2) Electrification of power systems operation and control: Research the beneficial effects of new power electronic devices in power systems to enhance system operational flexibility under high-proportion new energy integration.

    (3) Ultra-high voltage direct current system modeling: Research the modeling of the layered access of the receiving end LCC-HVDC type ultra-high voltage direct current system, aiming to achieve the safe and stable operation of the ultra-high voltage direct current system, timely handling of faults, and participation in the engineering design, R&D, and operation debugging work of the Anhui Guquan ultra-high voltage converter station.
