Profile
Han Pingping has been engaged in research on modeling and control of power electronic-based power systems. As the project leader, he has completed one National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Fund project and one National Key Technology Support Program project. He has also participated in research work on the National Key Research and Development Program "Operation and Control of Large-scale AC/DC Systems" and the NSFC Key Project "Research on Planning and Operation Control Theory of Multi-type Distributed Power Generation Integration into Distribution Networks". As the main contributor, he has participated in several longitudinal projects and commissioned projects, including the National "973" Program, the National "863" Program, the Sino-Danish Science and Technology Cooperation Project, and the State Grid Corporation Zhou Xiaoxin Academic Fund Project. He has been recognized for his work on "Key Technologies and Applications for Grid Connection Certification of New Energy Power Generation" with the First Prize of China Electric Power Scientific and Technological Progress, and for his work as the first author on "Key Technologies and Applications for Coordinated Operation of New Energy Power Generation and Power Grid" with the Second Prize of Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Award. In recent years, he has published over 40 papers in domestic and international core journals and various academic conferences, and holds 17 authorized invention patents. He is also a member of the IEC SC8A Working Group on "System-level Issues of Wind and Photovoltaic Power Generation Integration into the Power Grid" and serves as an executive director of the IEEE PES China Renewable Energy Modeling Technology Sub-committee.
