I am Shuwan Zhu, a lecturer and master’s thesis supervisor with a Ph.D. in Management.

My research focuses on service operations management, healthcare management, production scheduling, logistics, and supply chain management. Artificial intelligence, operations research and optimization, and heuristic algorithms are applied to address real-world problems in healthcare management. Several articles have been published in SCI-indexed journals, including Annals of Operations Research, Operational Research, and the Journal of Combinatorial Optimization, with one recognized as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. Several granted invention patents have also been obtained.

I serve as a reviewer for international journals, including Soft Computing, Operational Research, and Information Processing & Management. In addition, I am an expert reviewer of doctoral and master’s theses for the Ministry of Education of China.

As principal investigator, I have led several research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. I have also contributed to Young Scientists Fund and General Program projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as several industry-sponsored projects.

Long-term collaborations have been established between my research team and the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, Weichai Power Group, and other organizations.
