Feng Zhang received his Bachelor's degree in applied chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2008, and his Doctor's degree in applied chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China and the City University of Hong Kong in 2015. From June 2015 to March 2018, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Yu Hanqing's group at the University of Science and Technology of China. From April 2018 to now, he has been working at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Hefei University of Technology. The main systematic and innovative research results are as follows: 1) A fast, reliable, highly sensitive and simple fluorescence probe method was established to detect and quantify the extracellular electron transfer ability of EAB, and it was used for screening and identification of EAB from environmental samples; 2) The exclusive extracellular azo dye reduction of Geobacter sulfurreducens was discovered, and the intracellular synthesis of CdS triggered visible light photocatalytic reaction system was constructed to efficiently treat refractory pollutants; 3) The mechanism of rapid photocatalytic hydrogenation of nitroaromatic compounds in the environment was analyzed, and stable and efficient heterogeneous catalysts were designed and synthesized for advanced oxidation technology to degrade organic pollutants in wastewater. He has more than 40 high-level publications, including 17 the first/corresponding author publications in high-level authoritative environment-related journals such as Environmental Science & Technology, Analytical Chemistry, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, and 4 invention patents have been authorized.
