Wei Pei is an Associate Professor and Master’s supervisor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Hefei University of Technology. He is a “Huangshan Scholar” academic backbone talent and currently serves as a member of the Additive Manufacturing Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society, as well as an expert in the Standardization Working Group of the SAC/TC 562 National Standardization Technical Committee.

His research focuses on metal laser additive manufacturing, with active involvement in teaching and research related to additive manufacturing. he has conducted extensive studies on material development, forming processes, and multi-scale multi-physics numerical simulations in metal additive manufacturing technologies. He has led and participated in over 20 projects, including the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the National Defense “973” Program, the Ministry of Science and Technology Key R&D Program, initiatives from the Military Commission, the National Key Laboratory Open Fund, and the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Development Special Fund.

His research achievements include over 40 publications in internationally renowned academic journals such as Composites Part A, Materials Science and Engineering A, and Materials Characterization, along with more than 10 authorized invention patents. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for journals including Additive Manufacturing and Materials Science and Engineering A.
