Abstract:Finite blocklength (FBL) transmission is a promising technique to meet the stringent delay and reliability requirements. In this paper, based on the FBL transmission mode, we formulate a joint user scheduling and beamforming (USBF) optimization problem with maximizing the system utility related to the long-term average rate, which considers variable user numbers and statistical wireless channels. To address the long-term optimization problem, by utilizing the Lyapunov optimization method, it can be transformed into the admission control subproblem and the joint USBF subproblem with the instantaneous channel state information (CSI) of each user. Then, an iteration method with successive convex approximation (SCA) is presented to solve the transformed instantaneous optimization problem. The simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme can achieve a significant performance gain on the premise of meeting the requirements of uRLLC.
