Yidong Chai, Researcher and Doctoral Advisor

Dr. Yidong Chai received his Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Management Science and Engineering (Information Systems) at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. His research focuses on designing innovative artificial intelligence methods to advance the modern scientific management of individuals, organizations, and society. His areas of interest include smart healthcare, cybersecurity, and business intelligence.

Dr. Chai has published in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Research (ISR), and Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS) (with a total of 9 papers), as well as in top-tier journals in information security, artificial intelligence, and data mining, including IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC), IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI), IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), and ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS). He has authored one academic monograph and holds multiple authorized patents. He currently leads several research projects, including the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund.

Dr. Chai’s work has been recognized with several honors, including the Excellent Scientific Achievement Award at the First National Data Space Conference, the Best Paper Award at the WITS 2021, and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from Tsinghua University.

He serves as an editorial board member of Industrial Management & Data Systems (SCI journal), was Co-Chair of the Design Science in Information Systems Track at PACIS 2023, and acts as an Associate Editor for ICIS and PACIS. He also serves as a reviewer for several leading journals, including MISQ, ISR, JMIS, POM, INFORMS JOC and IEEE TDSC.
