Abstract:The enhancement of remanufacturing quality for high-end equipment is a knowledge-intensive activity that depends on the accurate identification of customer requirements (CRs) and experts’ collective assessments on mapping CRs to technical characteristics (TCs), which requires the implementation of quality function deployment (QFD). However, QFD calls for the participation of multiple parties and back-and-forth discussions. The experts’ fairness concern behavior influences their willingness to revise preferences and may even hinder the smooth progress of group decision making (GDM). To this end, this study develops a novel QFD decision framework based on fairness concern-driven consensus model to deal with quality improvement in high-end equipment remanufacturing engineering. First, CRs and related TCs for high-end equipment are extracted through knowledge mining from multi-source engineering texts, with objective CRs weights determined by natural language processing. Then, individual fairness concern level is defined based on consensus contribution and opinion adjustment magnitude, which serves to identify experts’ behavioral tendencies. Moreover, a fairness concern-driven feedback mechanism catering to heterogeneous experts is further designed to provide personalized fairness-responsive strategies, enhancing the fairness and efficiency of consensus achievement. This mechanism is applied to derive consensual collective assessments, thereby obtaining the final priorities of TCs. A case study on tunnel boring machine cutterhead remanufacturing engineering and comparative analysis demonstrates that the proposed method boosts intelligent decision-making efficiency and strengthens quality assurance in remanufacturing within industrial scenarios.
