Dr. Zhao is a 12+ yrs veteran in Power Electronics and career covers domestic/international industry and academia. The experience enables him to have in-depth insights into the current development of the industry and understands industry needs.
His research interests include wide bandgap power semiconductor devices, emerging gate driving technology, high-frequency converter, electric vehicles charging technology and renewable energy generation.
He has published 20+ IEEE Trans articles and totally 80+ papers, 2 U.S. patents, and 10+ China patents. He has collaboration with multiple industry partners such as Nio Motor, Kostal, State Grid etc.
He is an IEEE Senior Member, IEEE PELS TC2 committee member, China Electrotechnical Society (CES) Senior Member, and CPSS Member. He is serving as the Guest Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, Guest Editor of IEEE Trans Power Electronics, IET Power Electronics. He is a reviewer of TPEL, TTE, JESTPE, OJ-PEL, TIA. He is a World's Top 2% Scientist.
