Libo Sun, male, born in May 1991, serves as an Associate Professor (Master's Supervisor) and a Huangshan Scholar (Young Backbone) in HFUT. His research focuses on supply chain risk management, big data analysis, and cross-border e-commerce operations Management, using methodologies including empirical research, game theory and optimization modeling. After obtaining a joint Master-Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China by the end of 2019, he spent long time visitng and working at the National University of Singapore. From January 2023 to October 2024, he was a full-time Research Fellow at the Institute of Operations Research and Business Analytics at NUS. Currently, he has published several papers in renowned journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (MSOM, UTD24 Journal), Naval Research Logistics (NRL), European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR), and the Journal of the Operational Research Society (JORS). Additionally, he has received invitations to revise a first-authored paper for MSOM. His research has earned him several prestigious awards, including the 5th China Systems Engineering Society's Excellent Doctoral Dissertation in Systems Science and Engineering, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation award.

Student Supervision: Before joining HFUT, he co-supervised two Ph.D. students and two Master students with professors from the National University of Singapore, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Science and Technology of China. His mentees have received national scholarships and the prestigious Guo Moruo Scholarship, the highest honor for undergraduates at the University of Science and Technology of China, with one being admitted as a full scholarship Ph.D. student at HKUST.

Recruitment Intent: He is eager to seek for 1-2 Master's students for the Fall 2025 intake in fields such as Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration (Corporate Management), and Logistics Engineering and Management. Applicants should be upright, communicative, and have a well-educatied foundation in mathematics and programming. Research directions will be finalized based on individual interests and capabilities.
