Course Introduction:本课程是“机械类专业”必修的专业必修课。本课程主要讲授金属材料典型组织、结构的基本概念，金属材料的成分、组织结构变化对性能的影响，热处理的基本类型及简单热处理工艺的制定，合金钢种类、牌号、热处理特点及应用，金属材料性能及失效分析，选材原则等，为学生从事机械设计、制造及相关的工作打下基础。通过本课程的学习使机械类专业学生能够1）了解金属材料在工程中的应用；2）掌握金属材料基本理论及基本知识；3、掌握材料的选材及失效分析和热处理工艺的制定过程和方法；4)初步掌握应用光学金相法分析金属及合金组织的能力。
