从事结构工程受力分析及结构振动信号处理相关领域的研究，利用多种现代信号处理技术分析振动信号，研究各种模态参数识别方法及结构损伤识别方法。主持纵向项目包括国家自然科学基金青年项目1项、面上项目1项、校级项目2项；负责武汉市城建委科技计划项目等课题；积极承担多项横向委托项目。在国内外高水平学术期刊或会议集上发表论文20余篇，兼任多个学术期刊审稿人。承担本科生认识实习、荷载与结构设计方法、高层建筑结构设计等课程教学。
