Our research interests focus on functional polymer composites, including polymer membrane materials, green and recyclable polymer composites (toughened and flame retardant polylactic acid composites, recycling of waste runway powder, etc.). These topics cover the fundamental issues of polymer surfaces and interfaces, as well as the application of chemically customized interfaces in functional textiles, coatings, films, plastic composites and rubber composites. The research group designed and prepared a series of electrospinning films with excellent hydrophobicity. We are exploring their applications in oil-water separation, contaminant removal, and functional clothing. These technical interests are united by the challenge of understanding interface interactions between organic polymers and inorganic components. At present, he has presided over and completed 2 projects of Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province, 1 open project of key laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences and more than 10 projects commissioned by enterprises. He has won two first prizes and one second prizes of Anhui Science and Technology Progress Award. The research group has published 40 SCI research papers with an H-index of 15. Moreover, he has 22 authorized invention patents.
