Dr. Yanxiang Chen received her Ph.D. degree in June 2004 from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). She works as a professor and doctoral supervisor in School of Computer and Information (School of Artificial Intelligence), Hefei University of Technology. She visited Prof. Tom Huang in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) from Aug. 2006 to Apr. 2008, and visited Dr. Shuicheng Yan in the National University of Singapore (NUS) from Nov. 2012 to Feb. 2013, respectively. She has been selected as one of the first batch of young and middle-aged science and technology innovation groups in Anhui Province, served as an expert in the evaluation of Guangdong and Macao joint funded projects by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, an expert in dissertation evaluation by the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education. She joined CCF, CSIG, CAAI and IEEE.

Her research interests include audio-visual multimodal information processing, multimedia information security. She has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects, Anhui Province Science and Technology Research major project, Anhui Province science and Technology Research voice industry innovation project, China Postdoctoral Science Fund, Anhui Province Natural Science Fund, Anhui Province key research and development program International science and technology cooperation project, Ministry of Education industry-university cooperation project and a number of projects commissioned by enterprises. She has obtained 1 U.S. invention patent and more than 10 Chinese invention patents. As the first and corresponding author, she has published more than 40 papers including ICASSP, IEEE TMM, TCSVT, TCYB, ACM TOMM, ACM TIST, and Acta Electronica.
