Guoxu Chen（or Chen Guoxu）is an associate professor in the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, China. 
He is a geoinformatics researcher who works in the joint field of computer science and geosciences. His research interests include： (1) Computer-aided Cartography, such as Automatic Mapping and Intelligent Mapping (Geological & Geothematic Maps); (2) Map Data Mining and Visualization,such as Map-database Integrating and 3D Visualization (Geological & Geothematic Maps);and (3) 3D Geoscience Modeling, such as DTM and 3D Geological Modeling (Boreholes, Stratums, Ore Deposits, Coal Bed Methane, etc.).
